Today – 23 June 2010 staff arrived at school to find the school without any gas or electricity. The problem was due to maintenance work that was being carried out on Aigburth Road. We haven’t been given all the details by Scottish Power, but they did say that the fault was due to unforeseen circumstances.
We were also told that the problem would be sorted out later in the morning. As this was the case I made the decision to close the school until Lunchtime. Within 15 minutes of sending out a text message the problem had been fixed and after carrying out a number of safety checks the decision was made to open the school at 10am.
Can I thank you for your understanding and please accept my apologies for the child care concerns that this may have caused you at 8am this morning.
I am pleased to inform you that our sunshades will be completed on the 22 June 2010. The shades will be fitted and the ground round the poles will be cemented.
Thank you for your patience while we have waited for the sales to be completed.
Thank you to everyone who posted an answer to my, ‘ Celebration Assembly Question’. (11 June 2010)

The staff, pupils and governors of the school have been working on a new school vision and mission statement for 2010. These are important aspects of a school as they promote both the values and the aspirations.
A School Vision is a grand way of describing what a school sees as its purpose, it represents the aspirations of the school and summarises what it would like to achieve.
A School Mission Statement is a short handed version of the vision encapsulating the philosophy. It should be succinct and memorable and meaningful to all Stakeholders.
I would like to invite you to express your views and opinions on our proposed school vision and mission statement, by attaching your comments below.
